NY Elizabeth Shipping Policy

This Shipping Policy explains how shipping, delivery, insurance, and carrier coordination are handled for purchases made through NY Elizabeth auctions, private sales, and direct purchases.

By bidding on or purchasing any item, you agree to this Shipping Policy in addition to our Terms & Conditions.

NY Elizabeth operates internationally. Items may ship from one of the following locations, depending on where the consigned item is held:

• United States
   
• United Kingdom
   
• European Union
   
• Japan
   

The ship-from location is determined by the item’s location at the time of sale and cannot be changed by the buyer.

Most orders ship within ten (10) to fifteen (15) business days after payment has fully cleared, unless otherwise stated on the invoice or listing.

Shipping timelines may be extended due to factors outside our control, including but not limited to:

• customs clearance or inspections
   
• carrier delays
   
• regulatory or export requirements
   
• peak auction volume
   
• holidays
   
• force majeure events
   

Delivery dates are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

Items are shipped via insured third-party carriers, which may include:

• FedEx
   
• DHL
   
• UPS
• 
  

Carrier selection is determined by destination, item value, size, regulatory requirements, and operational considerations.

If you pay for your purchase through LiveAuctioneers, shipping is processed using LiveAuctioneers’ own shipping labels and systems.

Important notes regarding LiveAuctioneers shipments:

• Tracking information is provided by LiveAuctioneers, not NY Elizabeth
   
• LiveAuctioneers controls label creation and carrier handoff
   
• This process often prolongs shipping timelines beyond our standard estimates
   
• NY Elizabeth does not control carrier selection, insurance, label timing, or tracking updates when LiveAuctioneers shipping is used
   

For shipment status or tracking updates on LiveAuctioneers-paid orders, buyers must contact LiveAuctioneers directly.

Carrier insurance may be limited and subject to carrier terms.

If you require  insurance coverage, you must notify us in writing before shipment. The buyer is responsible for covering any additional insurance costs, if applicable.

NY Elizabeth does not automatically obtain supplemental insurance on a buyer’s behalf unless expressly stated on the invoice.

NY Elizabeth is not responsible for lost, delayed, or damaged shipments once an item has been tendered to a third-party carrier.

If a shipment is lost or damaged:

• the buyer must contact the shipping carrier directly to initiate a claim
   
• the buyer is responsible for complying with the carrier’s claim requirements and deadlines
   
• any recovery is subject to carrier insurance limits and carrier terms
   

NY Elizabeth will provide shipment documentation when reasonably available but does not control carrier claim outcomes.

Paintings and framed artworks shipped from our UK facility may, upon request and at the buyer’s expense, be prepared using:

• reinforced carton packing, or
   
• custom wood crate packing
   

Crating or special packing requests must be made in writing prior to shipment. Additional preparation time and costs will apply.

NY Elizabeth does not offer in-person pickup at any of its facilities.

If a buyer arranges their own bonded, insured, or specialized courier:

• coordination must be approved in advance
   
• any third-party handling or coordination fees disclosed on the invoice apply
   

Buyers are solely responsible for all:

• VAT
   
• customs duties
   
• brokerage fees
   
• import taxes
   
• clearance or local delivery fees
   

These charges are not included in the hammer price, buyer’s premium, or shipping cost unless expressly stated on the invoice.

Buyers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address.

Address changes after invoicing may:

• delay shipment
   
• require re-processing
   
• result in additional fees
   

NY Elizabeth is not responsible for delays or losses caused by incorrect or incomplete address information.

Shipping and tracking records are retained for up to sixty (60) days from the shipment date. After that period, records may no longer be available.
